Who we are

EU Test Simulator (testsimulator.eu) is operated by Azbouki R&D LTD, which is the data controller for the processing described here. The service is independent and not affiliated with the European Personnel Selection Office or any EU institution. Contact: the contact form.

What we collect

  • Usage data (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): which tests are started and completed, which questions were shown, the answer chosen, whether it was correct, time per question, and a random identifier stored in your browser so that repeated tests can be grouped. This cannot be linked to you by name. We use it to improve the questions and the site.
  • Analytics (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)): if you accept, Google Analytics for Firebase records page views and the events above. IP anonymisation is enabled and no advertising features are used. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time by clearing the site data in your browser; the site works identically without it.
  • Email address (consent): only if you ask to be notified about the full version or write to us. Used for that purpose only, never shared, deleted on request.
  • Local data: your recent results and preferences are stored in your browser (localStorage) and never leave it unless you accept analytics as described above. You can clear them from the results page.

Where data is processed

The site is hosted on Google Firebase. Data is stored in the European Union region selected for the project; Google may process analytics data in other regions under the standard contractual clauses. No other processors are used.

Retention

Usage data is kept for up to 24 months. Waitlist emails are deleted after the launch mailing or on request, whichever is earlier.

Your rights

You can request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, object to processing and lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. Because usage data is not linked to an identity, requests about it need the random identifier shown on the results page.
