In the 2026 AD5 competition numerical and abstract are scored together: 10 out of 20.

Abstract reasoning shows a series of five figures that follow one or more rules and asks which of five options is the sixth figure. The rules act on rotation, position, counts of marks, shapes, fills, sizes and sometimes the frame itself, and several of them change at the same time.

This simulation uses the format of the 2026 notices of competition: 10 questions in 10 minutes, one minute per item. Difficulty ranges from two simultaneous rules to four, including alternating rotations, mirrored glyphs and accelerating movement. Each wrong option breaks exactly one rule, as in the official items, and the explanation names it.

How it works

  • The timer starts when you press Start and runs until the part ends. When time is up the part is submitted automatically.
  • You can move between questions, change answers and flag questions to come back to. There is no penalty for wrong answers.
  • Keyboard: 1–5 select an option, ← → move, F flag.
  • Use a calculator-free approach: EPSO tests do not allow one, but you may use scrap paper.
